Abstract
This study conducts a sustainability analysis of the environmental impacts of climate responsive elements on Erbil vernacular architecture. Data was gathered from field survey, including taking photographs and measuring the dimensions of analyzed samples and from previous studies related to the climatic responsive elements in different regions. The outcomes of this study can be used to adapt the strategies used in vernacular architecture to contemporary buildings, to adapt them to the environment in Erbil and similar settings.
